Did you consider a varnish like Cetol o
r Epifanes for the finish? I'm interested in why you went for linseed oil instead.

That’s the way it was done from the factory plus wiping it down every few months is easy maintenance compared to sanding and refinishing every couple of years.
Also teak and linseed oil why mess with centuries of success
